Our staff at ETA hope that you and your families are safe and healthy. As restrictions continue to be lifted throughout the country, we are optimistic that soon we will all be able to safely explore past our own backyards. We know many of you share our optimism and are ready to book your travel plans now. Here are our new policies, safety tips and destination ideas to help set your mind at ease and inspire you to think about travel plans for next season. We honor the opportunity to be your partner in travel and hope to see you on tour soon!

If canceled 90 days prior*

We want planning your trip to be as stress-free as possible. Our new policies will include no deposits or payments until the fall, flexibility with changing your destination, no fees for rescheduling, and a modified refund policy should coronavirus interrupt your travels. *In the event that federal or state government restrictions prevent your trip from running and cancellation occurs at least 90 days prior to your trip, you will receive a full refund. Trip cancellation insurance can be included automatically for everyone, greatly increasing refund amounts for cancellations less than 90 days before the trip date. More details about rescheduling, cancellations, trip insurance and refunds can be found HERE.

The health and safety of your group is our top priority! We will be following and constantly adjusting to guidelines from the CDC and complying with all state and federal government safety protocols as well as coordinating with our vendors to maintain as safe an environment as possible. We will remind everyone on the trip to wash their hands, use sanitizer, stay home if they are sick and wear masks when required. We will also work with you to support your school’s individual health and safety efforts.

Things might look different with our masks on, but we are feeling optimistic that by next tour season the country will be up and running again. Whether to New York City or Orlando, let us be your guide and get America’s students out of the virtual classroom and back to the real world for an experience they’ll never forget! Don’t worry, if State or Federal Government restrictions prevent your trip from running as planned, we will be flexible with changes in destination and cancellations. Some of our most popular destinations include:

Many of our groups are planning for “business as usual” next spring with hopes that everything will be closer to normal. We realize not everyone feels this way and we have some exciting alternatives for you to consider. We’ve come up with exciting landmarks and historical sites that you can safely visit in your own private motorcoach. We will work with you to choose an exciting and educational trip that is driving distance from your school.

Introducing our College Preparatory Experience. The college application process has become more and more confusing and stressful over the years. A college visit is vital to help students navigate which schools are right for them. We’re here to help! ETA offers guidance about applications, auditions, financial aid, scholarships and other general information to help parents and students through the process before they depart for their trip. Our College Preparatory Experience will include:

  • Pre-departure parent and student online coaching sessions focused on the application process.
  • Online audition coaching for performing arts students.
  • On tour college visits in a region of your choice.

As our country takes a hard look at racial inequality, trips that explore the Civil Rights Movement give students the opportunity to engage with the past and think critically about how the present shapes our country's future. Learn More

Perhaps you’re concerned about social distancing while on tour. Here are our ideas.

AMERICA’S BACKYARD, Putting the ADVENTURE back in Educational Travel Adventures! There has never been a better time to explore America’s Backyard. Sites like the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Great Wolf Lodge, the Everglades and Mount Rushmore are just a few examples of landmarks that will help keep you away from indoor crowds and offer an educational and fun trip.

PERFORMANCE TOURS, REARRANGING PERFORMANCES FOR THE RECORDING STUDIO (Band and Choir): While the nation’s concert halls are still closed, professional recording studios are open! Take this opportunity to record in a state-of-the-art facility like a professional for your performance trip. This is a great way to share your group’s talent with the world while still keeping everyone safe and healthy.

THEATRE AND DANCE: BROADWAY IN YOUR STATE! ETA’s partnership with Believe NYC means we are highly connected to the Broadway community. While Broadway stages are shut down, Broadway performers would love to bring theater magic right to you! Converse and collaborate with Broadway actors as they share their stories and techniques with your students. We will bring a group of performers and educators to you for a multi-day Broadway intensive.

This season, we offered virtual sessions as a way to reach students and teachers that missed out on their Spring trips. These sessions were a hit! Whether you’d like to virtually meet and chat with a Broadway performer, visit the Spy Museum or learn about Lincoln’s assasination from an actor from the Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C, we have experts in cities all over the world ready to engage with your students. Initially, these sessions were an alternative to in-person trips, but since the feedback has been so positive, we are offering them prior to your trip to engage your students before departure! Please let us know if you’d like to add a Virtual Travel Adventure as a preview to your upcoming trip.

ETA is a tight-knit team of expert travelers, tour designers and caring people – all highly motivated to empower teachers to unlock the life changing potential of their classroom through educational tours.
